The general purpose, high performance ThinkSystem 12.8TB PM1745 NVMe PCIe 5.0 x4 Mixed Use 2.5" U.3 Hot Swap Solid State Drive is engineered for high endurance in a cost-effective design, and to support a broader set of workloads. Now with SED encryption as standard, this drive helps ensure data security, even when the drive is removed from the server. 

By having a Gen 5 host interface, sequential performance is doubled compared to Gen 4 solid state drives and the NVMe host interface also maximizes flash storage performance and minimizes latency. Plus, Mixed Used solid state drives like the PM1745 are suitable for mixed read-write and general-purpose data center workloads, however their NVMe PCIe interface means the drives also offer high performance. Overall, these drives provide outstanding IOPS/watt and cost/IOPS for enterprise solutions.
